The Tawakoni Pro Cat Rod is made with the finest S glass and carbon blank super strong and light at the same time. The rod blank has a luminous tip, and a graphite reel seat with a trigger. The Tawakoni Pro Cat rod also has an oversized reel seat nut, which makes the reel seat stronger and also keeps the reel in place.
The reel seat is painted with polymer paint to guard against staining and makes for an easy clean up. The Tawakoni Pro Cat rod is equipped with 10 stainless steel guides that are the strongest you can get. The handles are long lasting foam with an X pattern grip for a secure handling and easy cleaning.
The butt of the rod is a hard rubber to keep your handles from tearing up for years to come.
The Tawakoni Pro Cat Rod was designed by David Michael Spivey an avid fisherman, but Trophy sized catfish is his favorite. He came up with the design while fishing for Trophy Catfish on Lake Tawakoni, one of the most popular lakes around the east Texas area for catfishing.
When asked why he wanted to design The Tawakoni Pro Cat Rod, Michael’s response was “I’ve used several rods over the last 23 years but could never quite find the right rod for catfishing, so I decided to design my own, with features for catfishing.
About Us
David and Lisa met when they partnered to fish in a Catfish Tournament on Lake Tawakoni.
Lisa had an equal passion to fish for Trophy sized catfish and loved to compete in Catfish Tournaments, doing so in Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama.
When David was asked about fishing with Lisa his response was “I fish from daylight until dark!"
I’ve never met a woman that could keep up with me, until Lisa, and she enjoys every minute.
